Over the weekend, we had 3 huge invites in PA, with none bigger than the Ben Bloser Invite, which had just over 4,000 entries. Kam Skelton of Mercyhurst Preparatory ran the fastest time of the day, going 15:34 to win the 1A boys race. The 3A boys race was very competitive, with just 10 seconds separating 1-6. Reuben Manfred ultimately came out on top with the win in 15:50, and North Penn won the team title with 161 points.
On the girls' side of things, Ruby Garner-Valle dominated the 3A race, where she ran 17:59 to take the win by 25 seconds. The team title was also a very close battle with Downingtown West and Upper Dublin, with West taking the win with 171 points without their #1 runner and NXN All-American from a year ago, Julia Kelly, not racing.
To switch things over to the Council Rock Invite, Colin Woehr took the victory in 15:56 on a very hard and slow course, with the Manheim Township boys taking the team title, scoring 73 points.
On the girls' side, Julia Leady continued her dominant senior campaign with another win to stay undefeated, where she ran 17:50 and won by 54 seconds. The team title would go to Manheim Township in a close battle, scoring 101 points.
The last big invite of the weekend was the George School Invite, where Tyler Benson of Germantown Academy won the individual title in 16:02, with Father Judge taking the team title with 64 points. The girls' winner was the new addition to Penn Charter, Berkely Marcelis, who ran 17:54 and led her team to a dominant team victory with 24 points.
