2nd Immaculata Relays (formerly Oakbourne Relays)
West Chester Henderson
PA#2 West Chester Henderson boys and PA#2 West Chester Henderson girls both got off to winning starts at the 2nd Immaculata Relays. The boys made their victory look very comfortable, winning the relays by five minutes over Downingtown West. The boys also had the four best relay times, with the team of Mike Salach and Charlie Grab, as well as the team of Tony Russell and Sam Haugh running 19:56 to top all relay groups. The Henderson girls, however, had Unionville right on their heels, winning by a smaller margin of 30 seconds. Michelle Tracy and Janie Augustyn had the best relay time of 23:15.

Vinny Tadaro of Big Spring was the winner of this 2.35 mile invitational, ruuning 12:44 and finishing five seconds better than Nick Rotz of host Chambersburg. Natalie Holder Photo by Timothy O'Dowd) of Chambersburg defended her home turf and won the girls race with a time of 15:05, 13 seconds better than Caroline Schemel of Greencastle-Antrim.

Lions Invitational
Moravian Academy
Notre Dame Green Pond placed six in the top ten with a 1-5 spread of 57 seconds to open the season with a convincing victory, scoring 32 points in the AA race. Their top four were all led by seniors with a 2nd place finish from Eric Busher leading the way. Tyler Stelmack of Northwestern Lehigh won the individual title with a time of 16:42 to win by 35 seconds. In AAA, Freedom placed three in the top ten led by individual winner Nate Palmer (16:25) to edge past Nazareth 66-69. Nazareth placed their scoring five in the top twenty to keep it close.
For the girls, Notre Dame Green Pond completed the AA team title sweep, placing four in the top twelve led by a 3rd place finish from Colleen Kelly (21:19) to beat Bethlehem Catholic 57-66. Senior Amber Carroll of Tamaqua held off sophomore Emily Smith from host Moravian Academy to win the individual title. Both girls ran 20:25. In AAA, Amy Darlington of Liberty ran her first race without former state champion Jess Cygan and she put on quite the performance. The senior took the race with a time of 18:23, 69 seconds better than the next best AAA finisher! Northwestern Lehigh placed three in the top nine led by a 4th place finish from Erica Sarnicky to cruise to the team title with 51 points.

Methacton sophomore Kara Steinke ran a top 10 course time of 18:13. Hatboro-Horsham senior Sam Hibbs bettered his Foot Locker Finalist brother's course time by 15 seconds, going 15:29. Harriton junior Max Norris was just two seconds behind.
For the boys team race, four teams were right in the mix for the title. Council Rock North had three in the top 13 led by Mac Emery's 3rd place finish (15:33) to beat out host Archbishop Wood by seven points, 103-110. Archbishop Wood was led by a 7-8 finish from Chris Muldoon (15:58) and Tim Flanagan (16:04). Central Bucks East was 3rd, one point behind Wood, with Alex Kane leading the way in 9th. Holy Ghost Prep was 4th with 116 points. In the girls team race, Central Bucks West had two in the top seven (Gretchen Krause in 4th and Meghan Iatarola in 7th) and three in the top 20 to beat out local rival Central Bucks East 85-101. East was led by a 6th place finish from Louise Huuki.

12th Annual Bear Mountain River Run
Lock Haven University
The girls race featured two dominating performances. Maria Snyder of Northern Bedford set a new course record that was previously held by current Lock Haven athlete Katie Sick (18:36). Snyder ran 18:29.6 to win by over one minute! The other dominating performance came from the Central Cambria girls team, who scored 2-3-4-5-6 to score 20 points and win the team title by almost 60 points. Alyssa Brandis led the way with a 3rd place finish. For the boys, Maryland took the individual honors with Dave Ozarowski running 15:53.7 to win the race. Andrew Steely of Southern COlumbia was the top PA finisher, running 16:24.9 to finish 2nd. Sayre Area had four in the top fifteen to win the team title over Canton Area 60-68.

Kiski Area boys placed three in the top ten led by a runner up finish by Brent Kennedy to win the team title over Baldwin 72-79. For the girls, Morgan Ansell of Hempfield Area ran 21:04 to win the race and lead three in the top six to win the team title with 46 points.

37th Cliff Robbins Invitational
The girls race finished with three teams separated by six points. Regan Rome of Dallas finished 5th in 20:42 to lead her team to a 3rd place finish of 111 points. AA PA#3 Holy Redeemer had two in the top six, including the individual champion Marissa Durako (19:52) to beat out Tori Gerlach of Pennridge by 12 seconds. Durako's team would finish 2nd with four in the top 21 to score 108 points. The team that took home the trophy was Council Rock North with 105 points. They were led by a 3rd place finish from junior Kate Scott (20:19) and benefitted from a 36 point score from their #5 runner Ashlin Kimmel. In the boys race, Dallas cruised to victory, scoring 60 points with four in the top eight. Their score was twice as low as 2nd place North Pocono. Dominic Deluca led the charge with a 4th place finish. The individual champion was Sean Burke of Abington Heights. His time of 16:58 was 11 seconds better than the field.

Cathedral Prep boys placed three in the top nine led by a 5th place finish from Ethan Louis to defeat North East 55-84. Individual honors went to Ean Disilvio of Allderdice (Photo by Carl Strub), winning 16:10.4 to beat out runner up Austin Pondel of Corry by just over a second. In the girls race, the host school defended their home turf to take home the team title. McDowell placed four in the top eighteen, led by a 4th place finish from freshman Kelsey Swantek to beat out Mercyhurst Prep 81-117. Mercyhurst did have the individual winner. Carly Vicary ran 20:53.3 to win the race by 17 seconds.

40th California University of PA Invitational
California University of PA
PA#5 Mount Lebanon boys came out firing on all cylinders and will be having other teams around the state raising their eyebrows. Led by senior and individual winner Alex Moran (17:02), his team went 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 to earn a perfect score of 15 points with an impressive 1-5 spread of 39 seconds and a 1-7 spead of 46 seconds! The girls race was a lot closer, as individual champion Charlotte Lampenfeld of Oakland Catholic led her squad to a narrow victory over Pine Richland 61-63, despite Pine Richland placing all five scorers in the top eighteen.

Kennedy Weisner of Elk County Catholic ran a very impressive debut race and proved early on that will be back with the top runners this season. In the AA race, Weisner ran an solid 18:39 to win the race by 2 minutes and twelve seconds! 2nd place was her teammate Maggie Song (20:51). Despite the 1-2 finish, Lewisburg came away with the team title. Caroline Graves finished 3rd to lead her team to victory 56-70. In the AAA girls race, PA#3 State College picked up right where they left off at the end of cross country last year. One of the few teams with their entire top seven back, State College placed six in the top nine with a 1-5 spread of 29 seconds to cruise to the team win. Adair Gennocro of St. Mary's won the individual title with a time of 19:35.
In the boys race, Lewisburg completed the AA title sweep, winning the boys race with three in the top six led by a 2nd place finish from junior Sean Walker. Lewisburg beat out Wellsboro 59-80, despite Wellsboro having the individual champion. Jordan Jackson edged out Walker by one second, running 16:40 for the win. In AAA, State College completed the AAA sweep with a 1-5 spread of 39 seconds and a scoring five of 6-7-8-11-13. State College's 45 points was 19 points better than Mifflin County. Dylan Mountain of Altoona won the individual title with a time of 16:25.

AA PA#2 West Middlesex came out strong in their debut race, placing four in the top nine led by a 3rd place finish from Chase Whelan (17:58) to score 36 points, the only team to score under 100. Ethan Wilson of Laurel was the winner of the race with a time of 17:43. In the girls race, Hickory took home the team title and had the individual champion. Morgan Richards (19:59) led her team to victory over AA PA#5 West Middlesex 77-85.

Matthew Croft of Red Lion Area was the top PA finisher in Maryland, running 16:24.6 to finish 11th overall. His team was also the top PA team, scoring 192 points to finish 8th. The Red Lion girls had a little more success, finishing 4th with a score of 171 points. Brooke Amandola led her team to the 4th place performance, finishing 13th with a time of 19:52.4.
