Susan Crowe, the mother of one of the top distance runners at State
College High School, was killed Sunday, February 12th in a car accident in North Carolina. She was an icon of the Centre County running community. On Saturday, February 18th, her daughter Edel, raced in the Penn State Invitational, running 10:44.14 in the 3000, and helping her team's 4x800 run 9:50.11.
