Ryann Krais and Latavia Thomas won co-Athletes of the Meet
– Krais won two individual events, while Thomas was
recognized for an individual title and two relay wins which led to a team title.

Thomas in the winning 4x200, which went 1:41.91.

West Catholic's Kneshia Sheard was 1st in the 400 at 54.88,
2nd in the 200 in 24.76, and contributed to the two relay wins.

Krais won the Long Jump at 19-03.75, and the 60 Hurdles in 8.71.

The 800 was everything it was billed to be
as Chanelle Price took it out, and Latavia Thomas waited to pounce
as she opened a gap to win in 2:09.70. Price was 2nd in 2:10.57.

Conestoga's Liz Costello had a brief gap on Chambersburg JR
Sarah Morrison... but Morrison fought through it
to unleash a winning sprint over the final 200 to win in 4:54.05.
Costello was 2nd in 4:57.24.

Costello came back to win the 3000 in 10:17.26.

Three of the country's best finished on top in the Shot Put as Allyn Laughlin, Center,
won on the last throw over defending champ Karen Shump of Penncrest, 47-09.50 to 46-07.50.
Hempfield's Samantha Fetter was 3rd at 45-00.75. Another thrower joined the PA 40'+ club
as Hatboro-Horsham's Krysten Goetter PRed at 40-01.50. That's now eight girls over 40 feet!

If three times is the charm, four is absolutely brilliant.
Easton SR Lindsay Regan cleared 12-06 coming off an injury and only one practice,
sweeping her indoor high school states career.

The west is fast. Breehana Jacobs, Laurel Highlands, takes the 60 in 7.46.
Oakland Catholic's Charelise Davis was 3rd in 7.69.

Davis came back to win the 200 in 24.53 after Jacobs was DQed for a lane violation.

After three years getting close to a PA championship,
Bradford's Erin Hannon broke through twice, winning
the Triple Jump with a leap of 38-08.50
and clearing 5-06 to take the High Jump.
She was 2nd in the Long Jump
at 18-03.25, and 6th in the 60 Hurdles in 9.27.
