Hickory's Andrew Rademacher was leaping hurdles and bars all night, and it garnered him two firsts and a second place. In his best event, the Pole Vault, he cleared 14-06. Without benefit of a pole, he got over at 6-0 in the High Jump. And in the 55 meter Hurdles, he was 2nd by .1 to teammate EJ McLaurin, who went 7.8. For the girls, North Allegheny teammates Kim Markle and Shannon Yon went 1-2 in the High Jump, both clearing 5-04. Double winners included Carlett Nance of Penn Hills, who took the 55 Dash in 7.4 and the 200 in 27.5. McDowell's Nicole Smith took the jumps with a 17-04 effort in the Long Jump, and 34-04 effort in the Triple Jump. State AAA XC Champ Christine Taranto was 2nd in the 800 by .9 to Bridget Alex of Mt. Lebanon, who was timed in 2:31.1.
