1/31 - Andrew Johnson knocks off another tenth to move into top spot in PA

 

North Hills' sprinter Andrew Johnson knocked off another tenth as he took the 55 Dash in 6.2 seconds and now shares the top spot in PA with Kenny Covington of Lancaster McCaskey. In the 55 Hurdles, Hickory's E.J. McLaurin easily took first in 7.5. Mt. Lebanon's 4x400 and 4x800 squads were victorious, going 3:46.9 and 8:27.3, respectively. In girls' competition, Julianna Reed, Hampton, held off Sha-Tira Snell of Penn Hills by .1, going 8.3. North Allegheny's Shannon Yon cleared 5-5 in the High Jump, the best in PA this season. Double winners included Carletta Nance, Penn Hills, going 7.2 in the 55, and 27.1 in the 200; plus Upper St. Clair's Julie Cameron, taking the 800 in 2:23.6 and the 1600 in 5:22.9.
