A few others were also off to very strong starts, especially Janine Ricci of Hatboro-Horsham, who decided to get right onto the track and post a powerful 10:34.7 in the 3000, winning by almost 50 seconds. Simon Gratz junior Angela Wells went 18-01.75 to win the Long Jump.
