West Catholic sopomore Nicole Leach won two of the three short sprints at the first PCL Girls' meet of the season, going 8.5 in the 55 Hurdles and capturing the 200 by almost a second over teammate Latavia Thomas in 25.8. Cardlinal O'Hara showed its distance depth, getting individual wins from Erin Kelly in the 800 (2:26.0) and MaryDebevec in the Mile (5:38.5); plus taking the 4x800 in 10:33.5 and the DMR in 12:58.8. Archbishop Ryan triple jumper Denise Tetkowski lauched her season well, winning by nearly four feet with a leap of 35-08.
