Central Bucks West Assistant Coach Jimmy Cogan was killed in a car accident November 18th, 2009.

This Thanksgiving we will be holding the 2nd annual Jimmys Run: The Jimmy Cogan Memorial 5k and One Mile Family Fun Run/Walk. Jimmy was an employee of Central Bucks School District in the maintenance department and was also an Assistant Coach of the West Track and Field team. In November of 2009, he was killed in an automobile accident.
Last year we held the first event and it was a great success: proceeds from the event subsidized a scholarship awarded to a track & field athlete and also the future education of Jimmys daughter.
Please consider clicking on the link below and registering you and your family for this special event registration is ON LINE this year! Please also feel free to forward this email to anyone you may feel would be interested in participating! If you are a coach of a team, please consider giving your athletes this information. If youre a former runner of mine, use your exceptional social networking skills and get the word out about our event!
Also, we are accepting donations for this years event. If you would like to donate, please make a check payable to The Jimmy Cogan Memorial 5K and send to me here at CB West (375 West Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901). Those donations will be recognized on this years commemorative long-sleeved race t-shirt as long as they are received by November 1st.
And finally, we am looking for volunteers to help both the evening before and the morning of race day. If you are interested in volunteering, please reply back to me and let me know. We will need help at the registration tables, out on the course, and at the finish line.
