Central Bucks West Assistant Coach Jimmy Cogan was killed in a car accident November 18th, 2009.

The team is sponsoring a 5K called "The Jimmy Cogan Memorial 5K". It will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 25th, in Doylestown. The race will be run on a USATF certified course which starts and ends on the Central Bucks West property.
The proceeds will be split in half: half will go to a scholarship fund created in Jimmy's name and given to a Senior track & field athlete; the other half will be put in a fund for Jimmy's daughter, Hannah, who is now 6.
