Bentworth track athletes will sport an arm band with the words \"Alex Loos 2005\" this season to honor former teammate Alexzandra Loos, who was struck by a car and killed last summer. There will also be a run on June 4th.

15-year-old Alexzandra Loos, of Eighty Four near Washington, PA, who would have been a sophomore this coming year at Bentworth High School in Bentleyville, died Thursday night at Childrens\' Hospital in Pittsburgh from injuries sustained after being hit by a car Wednesday while running. The full story in the Washington Observer-Reporter. Loos finished 3rd in May\'s PIAA State Championship AA 1600 in a PR 5:08.11, and 5th in the AA 800 after running a PR 2:17.78 in the prelims. A fund has been established by Bentworth soccer and track boosters.
