Cardinal O\'hara\'s boys and girls teams sweep the Championship flights at the Briarwood Invitational on a overcast, hot and very muggy day. Greg Thomas led the Lions with the 2nd fastest Philadelphia Catholic League time ever on the course. His effort set the stage for an upset of NTN Northeast US#9 Ridgewood, New Jersey. At the Chris Fretz, NE#8 West Chester East held off Owen J. Roberts. At Cooper\'s Lake, At Cooper\'s Lake, Diane Filtz of Penn Trafford won the AAA race as North Allegheny took both team titles. Best times of the day came from AA. Allentown Central Catholic wins at Northern Lehigh. Fast times at new course at Cooper\'s Lake. Diane Filtz of Penn Trafford beat a strong field to win on the new Cooper\'s Lake course just south of Slippery Rock. In the boys AAA race, Max Brown went 16:21 to lead North Allegheny to a statement win. But the best times of the day were reserved for the AA races.

The trio of Diana Filtz, Maranie Staab and Josh Christopher helped turn the Slippery Rock Invitational into a Penn-Trafford-dominated affair.
