MARS HIGH ANNUAL TRACK AND FIELD INVITATIONAL
April 25, 2014
There will be a coaches meeting at 12:15PM. PLEASE BE PROMPT.
Meet Registration: Online Entries - MileSplit (pa.milesplit.us) due no later than April 20, 2014 by midnight.

Once the meet is closed additional entries will not be accepted. There will be no additions on the day of the meet. Scratches will be done at the coaches meeting.

Each team will be able to enter 3 athletes, however only 2 athletes will be able to compete.
Each team will be able to enter 1 relay team with 6 athletes; only 4 will be able to run.
All field events and 100-meter prelims will begin at 1:00PM.
Each contestant will be allowed 4 attempts in the field.
The top 6 finishers in all events will receive awards.
Scoring for the meet will be 10-8-6-4-2-1 for first through sixth respectively.
The following awards will be given:
o Medals to the first six places
o Boys and Girls team championship plaques
o Boys and Girls team runner-up plaques
o Boys and Girls MVP track plaques
o Boys and Girls MVP field plaques
Total points in track or field will determine the MVP awards honoring the outstanding performers. The team and runner-up trophies will be awarded at the conclusion of the meet. All are encouraged to stay and honor the award winners.

Come dressed / no showers
Concession stand will be open all day, as will restroom facilities. T-shirts will be sold.
We plan to be finished by 9:30PM.
Each school is responsible to police their area before leaving.
Each school will be assigned an event to work.
Any coach, athlete, spectator not competing or officiating is not allowed on the field and is subject to disqualification or removal from the stadium.

*Both pits will be used for the jumping events.
The boys pole vault will begin at 106 and will be raised at 6 intervals.
The girls pole vault will begin at 8 and will be raised at 6 intervals.
The boys high jump will begin at 58 and will be raised at 2 interval
The girls high jump will begin at 48 and will be raised at 2 intervals.
The throwing evens (shot, discus, javelin) will no longer be in flights with the school name. They will be seeded alphabetically by competitor name in 3 flights. A-F, G-N, O-Z or wherever it is determined by how competitors are in the event.
The triple jump and long jump will use the open pit format. Competitors may jump any time during the 1 hours that the pits are open but must complete their 4 jumps prior to the closing of the pit.
