WEEK #1: Ernesto hit, but it wasn\'t a knockout. This is cross country... so runners prevailed at most meets. The Viking Invitational at Tamanend Park moved the schedule ahead and combined races and got it all in... being rewarded with one course record. In the rain Saturday, US#4 Coatesville cruised to an easy win with just 16 points. Unfortunately, three others cancelled.

The Viking Invitational, slated for September 1st, and the Cliff Robbins Invitational, originally set for September 2nd, but now moved to the 9th, have made some changes for 2006.

The Viking Invitatonal at Tamanend Park in Bucks County is an all-trail 5K the first Friday of September in Southeastern PA that is a good early-season test. Past state champions and future collegiate all-Americans have made it their first race of the season for many years. This year, there are a few team openings.
