At the Shippensburg Invite, Neely Spence used the meet to run a US#2 1600 in 4:48.51. She also wins the 800 in a meet record time of 2:15.38. Andrew Petula high jumps 6-11. Perez wins the jav with a throw of 199-9, Shirk 2nd in 199-3. Chris Aldrich ran the 2000 meter steeplechase in 6:09.18. Juan Steward won the 400 in 48.37 and the 200 in 21.90. In Hermitage soph Fawn Miller threw a US#1 Jav of 152-10. At the CB West Relays Council Rock North ran a US#3 4x800 of 9:20.3. Germantown Friends ran a US#2 time of 7:47.5. At the Butler Invite Tyler Watts and Peter Overare were 1-2 in the 100, 10.80 and 10.90. TJ Hobart won the 1600 in 4:20.00. Dan Kwiatkowski won the shot in 61-11. At Thursday's Karl Hankton Relays at Valley Forge Military Academy, Penn Charter set two meet records in the track relays, running 1:31.1 in the 4x200, and 3:25.5 in the 4x400. Chestnut Hill Academy nipped Haverford School by just .6 in the 4x100, clocking a 44.4. On Friday at the Mount Carmel Invitational, Brent Clauser, Pottsville, broke the 19-year-old record at the Mt. Carmel Invitational in an official FAT time of 1:58.02. At the Glasgow DE Invite, Garnet Valley senior Shane Eachus won the 110 and 300 hurdles. Teammate Andrew Smith captured the 800 in under two. Bristol's Dave Cuevas was over 50' in the shot put. At the Kane Invitational, D.J. Horton cleared 15' in the pole vault for the home squad. Punxsutawney's Laybn won the 100 and 200. Bradford's Tyree Bennett was quick in the 110 and 300 hurdles, And Northern Potter's David Cobb leapt 21-5 in the long jump and 43-3.25 in the triple jump. At the Latrobe Wildcat Inv, Norwin senior Dave Forina and Penn-Trafford senior James Gnecco went 1-2 in the 800 in 1:56.46 and 1:57.58, respectively. Kiski Area's Brett Gunn won the horizontal jumps. Connellsville's Rodney Richter took the shot and discus. And Josh Vick, Kiski Area, sent the jav 194-5. At the Cal Track Carnival, Albert Gallatin junior Anthony Stevenson was a triple individual winner, taking the long jump at 20-7.25, winning the 100 in 11.39, and clearing 6-6 in the high jump. At the Washington-Greene County Coaches Meet, Canon-McMillan swept the team competition. The boys' team was led by Jeravin Matthews, who won four individual events, the 100. 200, 400 and long jump. At the Hilltopper Inv in Chardon OH, Fairview took 2nd in the boys competition and 4th in the girls'. Samuel Havko won the 800 and 1600. Both 4x400's took 1st. At the Mount Carmel Invitational, Brent Clauser, Pottsville, broke the 19-year-old record for 800 meters at the Mt. Carmel Invitational in 1:58.02. Selinsgrove swept the team titles. At the Beaver County Championships at Riverside (Ellwood City), Riverside's Jerrin Brandon won the javelin and the discus. Freedom's Ashley Adams won the shot and discus. Blackhawk won the girls' title, and Riverside took the boys' and combined. At the Leonard Stephan Classic, Vince McNally of Conestoga Valley got in some speed work with a 1:57.98 800 in preparation for his Penn Relays' mile this week. Reading's boys owned the sprint relays, with their top speedster Romar Mayne of Reading winning the 200 and taking 2nd in the 100 at 11.23, the same time awared to winner Kyle Fisher of Cocalico. Muhlenberg's Tyrell Ellison won the long and triple jumps. Devan Coon, Schuylkill Valley, won the 400 and posted the fastest 200 of the day in the prelims in the 200, but did not run the finals. Aubrie McAlpine, Daniel Boone, won the 200 final and the 100. At the Spartan Invitational @ Hughesville HS, 4/19 Spartan Invitational @ Hughesville HS, Montoursville's Tesa McKibben won four individual events in strong fashion, including the long jump (17-5.50), the triple jump (36-5), and both hurdles. Teammate Keenan Michael sailed through the 110 hurdles, winning, in 14.82. He also captured the 200.
