29th Hempfield Area Lady Spartan and 18th Greater Latrobe Wildcat Invitational
Please be advised that the meet schedule has been updated and the entry/scratch procedure has been changed as recommended by the CDC, NFHS, PIAA and the policies of the Greater Latrobe School District. The wearing of masks and social distancing protocols must be followed at all times. Spectators will be permitted into the stadium but must wear masks and be socially distanced except for groups of immediate family members. Masks will not be required when an athlete is competing. The number of athletes entered into the meet may be limited.
Athletes not competing in an event must remain in the bleachers and be socially distanced. Athletes must leave the competitive area after finishing their event. Teams are asked to set up their tents in the area between the stadium and Latrobe Little League. Please do not set up your tent in the bleachers.
Enter three (3) and but compete two (2) athletes per individual event and one (1) team per relay. The objective is to eliminate the need for an in-person Coaches' Meeting. Therefore, coaches must submit a printed copy of their entries with scratches indicated to the personnel in the FAT timing trailer at the common finish line.
Field Events: Athletes will have four (4) trials; there will not be finals. Teams will be assigned into flights. Athletes competing in high jump and pole vault may be flighted according to their entry marks in an effort to minimize the lowering of the crossbar between flights. Coaches not working the event are asked to socially distance on the outside of the fence beside the venue. Shot put and discus coaches are asked to watch from the adjacent bleachers. Only coaches working the event will be permitted inside the fence. Volunteer workers for an event will sign up on a Google sheet to be shared.
Entry deadline: Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 11:00 PM. Please make all final Scratch/Adds by this time.
Venue: Latrobe Memorial Stadium, 131 Irving Avenue, Latrobe, PA 15650
Girls' Meet:
9:00 AM - Coaches must submit their final entries to the timing trailer.
9:30 AM - First flights of the field events (change)
10:00 AM - Preliminary heats of the 100M hurdles, 100M dash, 200M dash and finals of the 4 x 800M relay
11:45 AM - Track event finals
Boys' Meet:
3:00 PM - Coaches must submit their final entries to the timing trailer (change).
3:30 PM - First flights of the field events
4:00 PM - Preliminary heats of the 110M hurdles, 100M dash, 200M dash and finals of the 4 x 800M relay (change)
5:45 PM - Track event finals
Only 3/16th inch pin spikes will be permitted for a track and jumping events. The javelin will be contested on a grass surface.
