Meet Information
The 1st Annual Marple Newtown Invite will be held on Saturday, April 17th. Field events will start at 12PM with the track events starting at 1:00. The meet will be held at the Marple Newtown High School's Track Facility in the Stadium.
The entry fee for each team will be $250.00 (boys and girls combined) or $125.00 for each team of boys or each team of girls.
There is a limit to the number of teams that we can have at this meet. Please email me if you would like to attend. I will give the password to you at that time. This will be first come first served, so do not wait if you are interested.
You will be limited to 30 athletes for this meet (according to state requirements for our facility). Each athlete will be permitted 2 spectators.
You may have 3 athletes per event. If you would like a 4th athlete in an event please email me and I will see what I can do.
There are no trials in any of the track events and it will be seeded from fastest to slowest.
All field events will get 3 attempts with no finals. All Athletes will be responsible for retrieving their own implement after throwing.
Long and Triple will have a 1.5-hour open pit, but if we finish early we will move right into the next jump.
High Jump will follow Pole Vault. Triple follows Long jump. Shot- Disc -Jav is the order.
*Javelin is thrown from the cement so no spikes.
The order of events is posted below and please realize the meet could move pretty fast. I'm doing my best to have enough officials here to work the meet but we might need volunteers to aid in some of the events.
Nelson Timing will be providing quick, accurate FAT results. Entries for this meet will be through www.pa.milesplit.com and need to be completed by April 16th at 9pm.
All PIAA rules will apply for this meet including the uniform rule. 1/4 spikes only are allowed on this track and will be checked when clerking in. Concessions will be not be sold due to Covid Restrictions.
