WHAT: GIRLS & BOYS TRACK THROWERS ONLY EVENT (Javelin/Shot/Disc)
COST: There is NO cost for this event! (Donations to the Soroka Memorial Scholarship are greatly appreciated)
WHERE: RIDLEY HIGH SCHOOL (Phil Marion Memorial Field)
WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 13, 2023
TIME: 9:30 - 9:45 am arrival / coaches mtg at 9:45 am / Boys javelin starts at 10:00 / Girls disc starts at 10:00
* Events are limited to 30 throwers / register ASAP to guarantee your spot.
*Up to 5 throwers per team / per event. (If you need more, contact us.
Additional spots may be available on a first come first served basis)
*Each thrower will receive at least 1 measured throw (out of 3) per event. Subsequent standards:
GIRLS - javelin: 75 ft / disc: 70 ft / shot put: 25 ft
BOYS - javelin: 90 ft / disc: 85 ft / shot put: 35 ft
* Top 8 throwers make finals & receive 3 additional throws. Throws carry over.
*Teams can use the press box stands as home base / parents will use &
must stay in the visitors stands to observe the events. (Throwing areas
can be seen from top & sides of stands)
*Each team is expected to provide 1 worker to help run the throwing events.
*Athletes will use and retrieve their own implements.
* There will be a concession stand open.
