Full Results | Photos | VideosThe Red, White and Blue Classic - brought teams from near and far as schools from West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland joined Western PA teams for a clash on the hills and flats of White Oak Park.The 1A schools got us started with stellar action on Friday Night. On the girls side, Doddridge County (WV) scored 45-points to take the team win, while Elk County Catholic and OLSH finished second and third respectively. Grace Nuebert (ECC) scored the individual win, and Lexi Fluharty (Riverside) finished in second.Then on the boy's side - Eden Christian Academy ran away with the victory, scoring just 41-points. They outscored Winchester Thurston and Ellwood City. Eden Christian's Nathan Garrett led the charge there.Saturday - the 2A teams opened a day full of action. Montour, led by Lakyn Schaltenbrand scored an impressive victory on the girls side as Schaltenbrand collected the individual crown.The program then completed the sweep, and Montour was also able to bring home the boys team title. They bested Beaver Area by four points. Julian Kletz scored the individual win for Montour, which was crucial.The day concluded with the running of the 3A races. The North Allegheny contingent swept both of those races. Notably, the girls swept the top three spots as Wren Kucler, Robin Kucler and Eva Kynaston finished in that order. Morgantown (WV) finished second.The boys race was close throughout, but MJ Pottinger (Grove City) was able to score the individual win in 15:21. Jack Bertram (NA) finished second and Kamden Kramer (McDowell) finished third.Hampton and Grove City jumped up from the 2A ranks and finished in second and third respectively. Hampton was just 15-points behind North Allegheny, while Grove City was just under 40-points back. That being said, Grove City did hold out one of their top boys.
