Chichester Relays 2010

Chichester, PA
Hosted by Chichester

Meet Information

Tentative schedule is below. See note on Pole Vault, which will be held on Friday at Penncrest

Coaches DO NOT work the meet-- Awards are spectacular - Teams compete against schools their own size - THE MORE TEAMS THE BETTER! Interested email Bill Smerigan (bsmerigan@chichestersd.org)

Dear Coach:

We would like to extend an invitation to you and your track team to compete in the 42nd Annual Chichester Invitational Relays to be held on March 27, 2010. The relays will be run rain or shine.

Do to the enormous response to the Chichester Invitational Relays, teams that have attended the relays the past two years will be given top priority in entering the relays. Additional teams will be considered as a space becomes available. As a reminder, the pole vault competitions will be held at Penncrest High School on Friday, March 26 at 3:30 pm. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to George Munro and his school district for hosting this part of the relays.

Once again we will be selling a limited number of long sleeve t-shirts. The cost for the shirt will be $15.00. If your team or any members are interested in purchasing a shirt, just drop me a line and I will reserve one for them. The shirts can be pick-up the day of the relays. Also, spikes for all participants shall not exceed 1/8". Spikes will be available for purchase the day of the relays.

Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each event for each division. However, we cannot guarantee this until we are sure that enough teams have entered the relays. Team trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each division. Also, MVP awards will be given in each division. Further information about this proposal will be forthcoming.

If you are interested in competing in the largest Delaware County relay event, please fill out the enclosed form(s) and return them to me by March 19, 2010. More information will be forwarded to you after the field is set. Good luck to you in your season and hope to see you at the Chichester Invitational Relays.

Sincerely yours,

William M. Smerigan
