Moniteau's Maura Kimmel walked away with a pair of
district titles and a PR to show for in a big meet for the senior thrower.
Kimmel threw 44-6.25 to win the shot put. Then she threw 144-7 in the discus,
bettering her previous PR by two feet. She's now at PA AA #2 just behind
Hickory's Tori McKinley as she heads to Ship next week for states.
Redbank Valley's Brooke Hinderliter unleashed a huge PA#2 155-1 to win the javelin. That puts her only behind national record holder Madison Wiltrout on the state rankings, but Hinderliter is the top AA competitor in the event.
Moniteau's Gabriella Stewart jumped 36-0.75 to win the triple jump.Saint Marys Area's Tom Bojalad picked up a pair of wins in the throwing events. Bojalad tossed the discus 171-2 for the win over Clearfield's Matthew Collins, who threw 162-6. Bojalad won the shot put convincingly with a throw of 52-7.5.
