The top five in the state final last year were underclassmen, so we had to know that coming into states this year that the 200 would be a close one. But two of those top five---Ade Jones-Roundtree of Imhotep and Jahvel Hemphill of Bloomsburg---have turned their focuses elsewhere. But that doesn't mean we won't get an exciting race.

The defending state champ, Andy Snyder of Camp Hill returns. The senior, who swims during the winter, won't try and defend his 400 title too, leaving all his focus on the 200.

Christopher Dock's Austin Kratz in the co-PA AA #1 after a monster race at the Ship Invite earlier in the season. Imhotep's Kristian Marche dropped a 22.17 in the trials at District 12. Both sophomores have legitimate claims to this 200 crown.

But in the finals at District 12, Hill-Freedman's Armonte Paulk got the best of Marche to take the win. Paulk is the top seed at 22.11. He's seen a nice progression this season and should be a factor in this field.

Washington's Kurt Adkins and Delaware Valley Charter's Jahmair Craig will also be threats in this field.
