The AA high hurdles is shaping up to be a very competitive battle between a number of talented hurdlers. Ian Nieves of Milton and Raymond Sitton of Monesson ran the same time in the state final a year ago (Nieves edged him out by a thousandth of a second). They finished fourth and fifth respectively, and now into this season, both their season years, those two will square off as the two top seeds. Nieves has run a season best of 14.47, while Sitton has run 14.49. All signs point to another great race between these two.

Freeport's Dylan Hochbein was second to Sitton at the District 7 Championships and will look to supply a threat to the top two. Meyers' Raheem Twyman and Camp Hill Zach Kuntz will try and ride the momentum of their respective district titles into this weekend. Christopher Dock's Josh Wolfe is another one to watch. He had to run his final twice at District 1, so Wolfe has the ability to improve on his seventh seed.
