The upcoming cross country just became a lot more interesting in Pennsylvania.

Foot Locker Northeast champion Noah Affolder and his brother Sam Affolder are reportedly transferring to Carlisle High School this fall. According to Leslie Sheldon of the Watertown Daily Times, the Carthage High School brothers are moving from New York to Pennsylvania in time for cross country season. Noah will be a senior in the fall and will close out his high school career at Carlisle. Sam will be a sophomore next season.

"Noah and Sam's father, Jason, a lieutenant colonel at Fort Drum, was accepted into the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pa., where the family will take up residence for 10 months," the article says.

Noah was the Foot Locker Northeast champion in 2015 as a junior. He covered the Van Cortlandt course in 15:23 for the win and went on to finish 15th at Foot Locker Nationals. He's a two-time New York state champion. He has run 4:09.88 for the full mile indoors and 8:47.60 for 3200. The 3200 meter time is faster than Paul Springer's state record of 8:49.84 in the event. He is currently US#3 in the 3200.

Sam was one of the country's most impressive freshmen this past fall. He finished 12th at the New York State Championships and eighth at the NY Federation Championships. His 5K best is 15:48. This spring, he ran 4:20.44 for a full mile at the Glenn D. Loucks Games

The brothers will compete in the New York state meet this weekend in Cicero, New York.
