PTXC WEEKEND RECAP: Some notable performances headline Week 1 of the XC season

Oakbourne Relays

BOYS RESULTS

The annual relay meet at Stetson Middle School gave us our first look at some of the state's top runners. Germantown Friends' Nick Dahl, JP McCaskey's Nathan Henderson, West Chester Henderson's Spencer Smucker, Neshaminy's Rusty Kujdych, and Kennett's Austin Maxwell were among the entries. Dahl and his teammate Jonnie Plass were first to finish in the relay, but it was McCaskey's Henderson, who had the best combined miles split with two 4:49s.

GIRLS RESULTS

Like the boys race, a handful of the state's top girls debuted at Oakbourne. The JP McCaskey duo of Isabella Fife and Lianna Tirado claimed the overall win. Downingtown West's Aislinn Devlin and Emma Planck, Wilson (3)'s Alison Willingmyre, and Unionville's Anna Juul. Juul had the best combined time of the evening with an 11:23. Devlin and Willingmyre both clocked in at 11:27. Elk Lake's top two of Justine Johns and Keri Jones put together a strong effort to take fourth place in the relay.

Editor's Note: A previous version of this article listed the incorrect best total time in the girl's race. It has been corrected.
