Friends Schools League Championships Recap
Nick Dahl completed the career sweep in the Friends Schools League Championships. The Germantown Friends senior won in 16:15, coasting to victory at the George School for his fourth league crown in as many years. That also led his GFS team to a commanding win in the team race. The Tigers earned yet another Friends title, scoring 22 points.
Zach Goldberg was third, and Colin Riley, Daniel Stassen, Jonnie Plass, and Tim Peterson took spots 5-8 for Germantown Friends. Ryan O'Donnell of Westtown was second and Jeffrey Love of George School was fourth.
In the girls' race, Friends' Central's Emily Burd earned the league title. The senior ran a time of 19:29 for her first XC league crown.
Germantown Friends' Griffin Kaulbach was second in 19:50 and Friends' Central's Gabrielle Wilkinson was third in 20:49.
Friends' Central ran away with the team title scoring 19 points for the win. Westtown was second with 53 points.
