DVGTCA Indoor Meet #5

***Entries don't close until Friday afternoon, so this preview may not reflect all meet entries***

Last week, we saw the long-awaited season debut of Chanel Brissett. The Cheltenham senior and USC signee ran on Friday at the DVGTCA meet and then on Saturday as she anchored her team's PA#1 4x200. Now Brissett will return to her specialty: the hurdles.

Brissett is entered in the 60 meter hurdles for the first time this season and we'll see how fast she can go. The state leading time is 8.74 by Yasmin Brooks of Susquehanna Township and the national leader is 8.31 by Tara Davis (CA). Also in the 60 hurdles is Sheila Day of Norristown.

In the 60 meter dash, we'll see some talented runners with Norristown's Jonae Cook, Methacton's Amy Domenick, Chichester's Nierra Berry, and Perkiomen Valley's Christina Warren in a race that very well could go down to the wire. Berry will return for the 200 meters, which also includes Methacton's Lauren Prusacki and the Baldwin School's Jennifer Dietrich.

Springfield (Montco)'s Sydni Stovall is the top seed in the 400 meters, while Strath Haven's Maddie Forbes leads the list of entries in the 600 meters. EDIT: North Penn's Uche Nwogwugwu and Penn Wood's Terri Turner are also entered in the 400 meters.

In the 800 meters, watch for a strong contingent of runners that includes Abington's Kelly Jawork, Wissahickon's Hayley Ross, Boyertown's Gillian Kasitz, Hatboro-Horsham's Miranda Royds, and Harriton's Tasha Greene among others.

Cheltenham's Brianna Smith will be one to watch in the high jump, looking to improve upon her PA#6 height. Smith is also in the long jump, which also includes Methacton's Rainah Dunham and Boyertown's Rebecca Hemingway. Ridley's Meghan Lynch is the top seed in the triple jump.

In the pole vault, Elizabeth Jefferson of Springside Chestnut Hill will square off with Wissahickon's Cala Lejman
