It was a big day for the Conestoga Valley duo of Jose Barbon and Aanyah Bermudez. With the state meet right around the corner, the pair showed they can be serious state medal contenders come the end of the month.

Barbon claimed a win and a pair of second place finishes on the night. He ran 6.73 in the 55 dash and 23.70 in the 200 meters for second in both. Then he popped a big PR of 22-9.75 to win the long jump. That was good enough for PA#2, as he creeps closer to that 23 feet mark.

Bermudez took home an impressive win in the 55-meter hurdles, running 7.69 for the win. That's a PA#3 in the event. The senior is targeting a top three spot in the state in the hurdles. Watch an interview with the two below:

Unionville looked strong, winning the 4x800 early in the meet in a time of 9:53.75. Then Anna Juul (currently PA#1 in the mile) ran 2:22.00 in the 800 meters later in the night to win.

Hempfield's Carena Nottoli continued her strong season, adding a win in the pole vault, clearing 11-6. Manheim Township's Courtney German was second with a height of 11-0.

In the shot put, JP McCaskey's Aliyah Striver won with a best throw of 39-11.5. The McCaskey girls closed out the meet with a win in the 4x400 meter relay, running a time of 4:09.59.
