Girls' 55-Meter Dash - Saturday, 1:03 P.M.
In the girls' 55 dash, we'll get a matchup between US#1 and US#4. Daija Lampkin of Middletown, Delaware will square off with Girard College's Thelma Davies. Davies ran a still-PA#1 in the 55 meters of 6.95 back in January at the Hispanic Games at the Armory. Lampkin, meanwhile, went 6.89 at Bishop Loughlin back in December.
Most recently, Davies ran at the DVGTCA meet at Lehigh last Friday, winning in a 7.70. Saturday will be a big test for the sophomore and reigning state champ in the event and we'll see if she's up to the task. Regardless, look for that US#1 time to go down.
