Pennsylvania Wins 3 at Millrose; Garland Wins 3, Brissett Runs US#1 at Carnival: Quick Recap


Pennsylvanians had a big day at the Millrose Games on Saturday, winning three events and putting up big performances elsewhere.

Girard College's Thelma Davies won the 55 meter dash in a time of 6.82. Germantown Academy's Abbe Goldstein ran a time of 4:49.06 to win the girls' mile, and Carlisle's Noah Affolder picked up the win in the boys' mile that slipped away from him last year, running a time of 4:07.24.

At the PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival, Cheltenham's Chanel Brissett took over the nation's top time in the 60 meter hurdles, clocking a time of 8.30 for the win. She also took second in the 60 meter dash. Germantown Academy's Kyle Garland won the high jump, 60 meter hurdles, and the long jump in a busy day. Big wins also came from South Williamsport's Katie Jones in the pole vault, Upper Dublin's Madison Langley-Walker in the long jump, Uche Nwogwugwu in the 400 meters and relays, and JP McCaskey's Nathan Henderson in the 3000 meters.
