Upper Darby Relays Recap

BOYS' RECAP

The Haverford boys ran a PA#1 of 11:07 in the DMR, while Quakertown led a very fast SMR. Quakertown won in 3:35.97, outlasting strong Radnor, Roman Catholic, Chester, and Bonner & Prendie squads. Methacton claimed the win in the 4x800 over West Chester Rustin, running 8:13 for the victory. In the 4x1600 meter relay, Spring Ford rolled to the win, clocking 18:42.42.

West Chester East won the 4x200 over Spring Ford in a winning time of 1:32.28. Chester ran 43.56 to win the 4x100 meter relay. Chester dominating the field in the 4x400 and picked up the win in 3:26.27.

Spring Ford's Stephen Chapman ran 40.41 to win the 300 meter hurdles.

Edem Asamoa of West Chester Rustin threw a PA#3 153-4 in the discus. He also threw 51-5.5 to win the shot put, completing a big opening meet. Spring Ford's Jake Pajovich won the javelin with a throw of 156-6. Chester's Braheem Bishop cleared 6-4 to win the high jump.

GIRLS' RECAP

Methacton's Rainah Dunham swept the horizontal jumps. Dunham jumped 37-5 in the triple jump and 16-11.5 in the long jump to win both events. Twin Valley's Kayla Gillen, fresh off a strong indoor season, cleared 5-2 to win the high jump.

Archbishop Ryan's Megan Kirn threw a PA#3 of 122-3 to win the javelin. Haverford's Cecilia Katcavage was second in the javelin, but the junior threw 36-0.5 to win the shot put.

Methacton swept the short sprint relays. They took the 4x200 in 1:43.20 and then won the 4x100 in 49.11. Upper Darby ran 4:07.57 to win the 4x400.

Upper Darby's Victoria Robinson went 47.44 to win the 300 meter hurdles

The Unionville girls won the DMR in 13:16.28. In the 4x1600 meters, the Spring Ford girls won in . Ridley ran away with the SMR win, clocking 4:23.15. West Chester East ran 9:45.05 to beat Strath Haven (9:48.05) in the 4x800.
