Viking Invitational - Meet Recap

Perkiomen Valley sophomore Christina Warren got her season off to an exceptional start. Warren won a trio of events at her home invite. She won the 100 meter hurdles in 15.21, the long jump with a leap of 17-2.5 and she broke the meet record in the triple jump, going 38-2.5., which is a PA#2.

OJR's Teneisha Myers won the 200 meters for the second straight week at an invitational. Myers clocked a  26.22 in the win. Springfield-Montco's Sydni Stovall ran 58.91 for the win in the 400 meters. OJR's Ally Brunton outlasted Perkiomen Valley's Jocelyn Rotay in the 1600 meters, with Brunton running a time of 5:15.23 to win by just .59.

Saturday marked the season opener of Kyle Garland from Germantown Academy. Garland won the 100 meter hurdles in 14.91 and won the high jump, clearing 6-4. He was second in the 300 meter hurdles to Spring Ford's Stephen Chapman, who won in 40.26.

Kennett's Alec Sheehan continued his impressive season in the discus. The senior won with a throw of 156-0.

In the boys' 1600 meters, Germantown Academy's Owen Ritz got the best of Quakertown's Hudson Delisle. Ritz ran 4:25.73, while Delisle was behind him in 4:26.43. OJR's Liam Conway won the 3200 meters in 9:37.41.
