Knights Invitational - Meet Preview

*Preview based on entries as of 10 A.M. on Wednesday, 4/12*

A few boys teams will make the mid-week trip to North Penn for a meet that produced a number strong performances last season.

The premiere event of the day looks to be the boys' 800 meters. Expect a number of guys dipping under two minutes. At the top, the favorites include Penn Wood's Dennis Manyeah, indoor bronze medalist Hudson Delisle of Quakertown, LaSalle's Evan Addison, and CB South's Matthew Scarpill, among others.

Manyeah is also entered in the high jump, where he's the top seed, but LaSalle's Alex Sislo will give him a good challenge there. Sislo is also entered in the long jump for a good matchup between him and St. Joseph's Prep's Isaiah Ritchie.

In the 1600 meters, look for a good battle between West Chester Henderson's Spencer Smucker and North Penn's Brendan O'Toole. O'Toole returns later for the 3200 meters.

In the sprints, LaSalle's Octavious Carter will be favored in the 100 meters. He'll return for the 200 meters later, where he'll face off with the talented Miles Green of St. Joseph's Prep in what should be a good race. In the 400 meters, Abington's Aaron Sooknanan and LaSalle's Peter Nelson are the top seeds.

Last year, LaSalle's Noah Walker won two throws events and took second in another. This year, Walker is the top seed in all three--the shot put, discus, and javelin.
