Breslin Invitational - Meet Recap

GIRLS' RECAP

The Selinsgrove girls kicked off the meet with a 4x800m relay time of 9:43.33 to win the Breslin Invitational.

It was another fantastic meet for star Maura Fiamoncini of Mount Carmel Area as she threw another far throw of 152 ft. 4 in. to win the javelin. Although not a season best, this performance still ranks as on of the top in the state. 

In the girl's pole vault, Spring Grove's Nathalie Elliott jumped 11 ft. 6 in. for the win. 

The girls' shot put was pretty competitive, but it was Ashton Ball of Spring Grove who came out on top throwing a 37 ft. 4.5 in. for the win. Piper Klinger of Selinsgrove continues her success in the discus by winning with a throw of 118 ft 2 inches.

The girls' 300m hurdles was very competitive at the Breslin Invitational. Three girls had top 10 performances in the state. Zoe Stauffer of Spring Grove won in a time of 47.84, following closely by Nicole Varano of Mount Carmel and Alaina Pearson of Shamokin Area. ​

BOYS' RECAP

Tyler Leeser of Milton Area ran away with the boys 800m in a time of 1:56.96. Leeser's time almost ranks him in the top ten in the state for performances in the 800m thus far. We will wait to see what happens over the next few weekends.

Keyon Williams of Milton Area jumped 44 ft. 5.5 in. in the triple jump which currently ranks him 11th in the state. 

Keith Dreese of Selinsgrove threw 54 ft.10 in. in the shot put for the win, solidifying his spot as one of the top shot putters in the state. He made his way into the state rankings in the discus with a throw of 167 ft. 1 in. for the win as well. His teammate, Brennen Wolf, also had a nice throw of 153 ft. 2 in. in the discus.
