AAA Girls' 4x400m Relay Preview

What we'll get to close out the AAA action at the state meet this year will be a good old fashioned battle between some strong teams with some great 400 meter depth. The reigning champs and AAA state leaders from Penn Wood didn't advance out of the District 1 meet, leaving this field wide open for Saturday afternoon.

North Penn took home the District 1 title and have run 3:47.61 this season (at the Penn Relays). Get the baton in Uche Nwogwugwu's hands on the anchor and she'll be as dangerous as ever. Cheltenham was second to NP at districts. They won't go down without a fight and those team points may be important.

Butler blasted a quick 3:53.05 to take home the WPIAL title to dominate the WPIAL competition. In a closer race, it could be scary to see how fast this group can go. Expect them to be in the mix for gold. District 3 champs Susquehanna Township should also have the pieces for a strong 4x4 to close out the meet.

The other teams to watch for include Coatesville, Upper Darby, CB West, CB South and Easton Area. There's always some good fireworks in a championship 4x4 and Saturday should be no different.
