Wyomissing Area Team Challenge - Meet Recap
GIRLS' RECAP
Jane Livingston of Conestoga Valley ran well for a second straight week in the hurdles. The junior ran a PA#2 time of 8.37 in the 55-meter hurdles for the win.
Manheim Township's Sydney Horn jumped 11-6 to win the pole vault, a height just off her own PA#8. Central Dauphin's Gabriella Recce and Spring Ford's Melissa Israel tied for second, both clearing 11-0.
Taye Dairo of Central Dauphin won the high jump with a leap of 5-4 (T-PA#6) and she also added a 200 meter win.
The J.P. McCaskey girls ran 9:56.89 for a strong race in a 4x800-meter relay. That time is a new PA#11. Elizabethtown Area's Katie Locker clocked a PA#3 time of 5:17.03 for the win in the 1,600 meters. She also added a win int he 800 meters in 2:22.92.
BOYS' RECAP
Hershey's Dalton Burnham had a strong day in the pole vault. Burnham jumped a big PR of 14-9 for the win. He moves up to PA#5 with that effort.
Trevor Thenga of Wilson won the 55-meter hurdles in a PA#10 time of 7.88. Jake Underwood, also from Wilson, went 4:36.52 to win the 1,600 meters.
Manheim Township's Patrick Cloonan won the shot put with a throw of 50-7.5, just off his season best.
