Anthony Collins (Harry S Truman) opened his senior season with a blazing 8.20s personal best to win the Alvernia Holiday Classic. That time would have ranked as a PA No. 3 in 2022 and currently sits as a US No. 6.

Sophomore Trevon Foster (Pottsgrove) finished second to Collins with a personal best of 8.32.

Defending State Champ Taleea Buxton (West Catholic) held off Macaela Walker (Oxford Area) to win the Ursinus High School Invitational. Those times would have ranked first and third in the 55mH in 2022.

Nico Wright-Phillips (West York Area) opened the season with a personal best 7.01 60m dash. That mark would have ranked as a PA No. 11 at the end of the 2022 season. Four Boys ran faster than the PTFCA Qualifying Standard.

Laila Campbell (Spring Grove), the 2022 PTFCA Championship runner-up, ran a quick 7.56 to win the Alvernia Classic. That time would have been ranked as a PA No.4 in 2022. She was one of 5 girls to run quicker than the PTFCA qualifying standard.

200m

Asad Reese (Imhotep Institute Charter) ran 22.82 to win the Ursinus HS Invitational. Freshman Abaas Hunter (Episcopal) won Meet #1 of the TFCAofGP in 22.99.

400m 

Eyota Bey (Cheltenham) won the girl's 400m at the DVGTCA Meet #1 with her 57.6. That time currently ranks as US No. 11.

Tyler Abraham (Abington), who finished ninth at the PTFCA Championships, opened the season with a 50.52. Four boys ran faster than the PTFCA Qualifying Standard this weekend.

800m

Alli DeLisi's (Penn Charter) 2023 Indoor season began with a brisk 2:19.25 as she led three girls under the 2:22. Quin Stovall (Friends' Central) and Sarah Ann Miller (Twin Valley) joined her under the PTFCA Qualifying Standard.

1600m

Anna Carruthers (Phoenixville) glided to an indoor personal best of 5:19.73.

3000m

Andrew McGonigle (Owen J Roberts) ran 8:52.66 to dominate the Alvernia Holiday Classic. He won by over 30 seconds and bested his indoor personal best by the same margin.

High Jump

Drew Domurat (Coatesville), who finished sixth at the 2022 PTFCA State Championship, opened the year with a US No. 6 jump of 6'-5". That jump would have ranked as a PA No. 3 in 2022.

The 2022 Indoor State runner-up, Katie Becker (Warwick), jumped 5'-4" to tie her indoor personal best. She will be one of the favorites to win the State Championship in February.

Long Jump

Kyle Moore (Emmaus) launched himself into the state conversation with his long jump of 22'-5.5". That jump would have been ranked as a PA No. 3 in 2023.

Pole Vault

Drake Risser (Lower Dauphin) vaulted an impressive 14'-6". 10th at the Outdoor PIAA State Championships, he is set to compete with the best in 2022.

Kirstin Hoffman (Kennett), the fifth-place finisher at last year's State Championship, jumped an indoor best 12'-6" to win the Ursinus High School Invitational. That mark is currently a US No. 6.

Shot Put

Alphonso KouKou (Episcopal) threw 50'-11" to win his opener. That mark would have been ranked as a PA No.13 in 2022. 

Ericka Jackson (Harrisburg) and Alexa Brown (Strath Haven), at two different meets, both through over 38'-4". In doing so, both hit PTFCA Qualifying Standards.
