The course record attacks continued on Monday October 6th, this one at Carlisle. Carlisle Head Coach Harold Travis reports that Nick Brousse went after the Course Record of 15:38 set by Waddie Freeman, currently the track coach at University of Pittsburgh, set in 1983. Nick fell just short, running a 15:39, tying Carlisle runner Scott Davis(1996) for the 2nd fastest time ever on the Carlisle Course.
On Tuesday, October 7, the Parkland girls held off Allentown Central Catholic to win their league. But it was closer than Carlisle, which was ten points.
