Fleetwood rising senior Cyre Virgo has been recognized by the MileSplit All American voting committee as a 2014 All American for yet another stellar season, finishing 7th on the All American list! For the year, Virgo earned 10 victories in 13 appearances, finishing 2nd in two and earning 4th at the USATF Junior Nationals earlier this month! Wins included a successful defense of her AAA outdoor district and state titles, as well as a season best 5-10 at the Millersville High School Invitational in late April. Both of her 2nd place finishes came at national events. In March, she came within an eyelash of defending her New Balance Indoor National championship, but missed out on gold by one height. Her other 2nd place finish came at the Penn Relays, where she finished as the top American performer with her mark. In her 13 appearances, she cleared at least 5-8 an amazing nine times and cleared 5-9 or better on four of those occassions. She shares the US#12 mark for the 2014 season with a dozen other athletes, but her consistency and incredible winning record earns her an All American berth!
