Easton's Abby Schaffer to vault at Virginia Tech
All-American and PA state pole vault champion Abby Schaffer of Easton has made a verbal commitment to attend and compete for Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA. Her athletic career will be guided by renowned coach Bob Phillips, who has coached several all-Americans while at the school.
Abby owns a personal best of 12-6, and is hoping to break the indoor PA state record of 13-6 this year.
Abby is a member of the Vertical Assault Pole Vaulting club, and joins a long list of vaulters to join the college ranks.
