Girls

Athlete

Erin Feeney of Scranton Prep had a debut that was better than any race she's had in her cross country career! Feeney was victorious at the Cliff Robbins Invitational for the 2nd year in a row with a time of 18:42, the top time of the weekend. Both of her career wins have come at this invitational and both races were won with a personal best time.

Team

Downingtown East girls displayed solid depth in their opening season win at Northampton. The Ches-Mont squad used a 44 second spread to place five in the top 15 overall, and five of the top 12 team places. Audrey Fatone, Caroline Roumpz, and Kelly Mulcahy were the front three that finished just five seconds apart.

Boys

Athlete

Jake Brophy of Central Bucks East showed his dominance in his victory at the John Sharp Invite. He won the race for the 2nd consecutive season, but his display on Friday was of a runner that is on a mission to defend all his titles and achieve even high honors on a national level. 15:48 is a sensational time on the Northampton Civic Center layout, and it bettered his 214 win by 17 seconds. Honorable mention goes to Griffin Mackey of Sewickey Academy for running 15:48 for 12th place down in Texas.

Team

Central Bucks West looked like a force with great expectations on their minds. The District 1 state qualifiers are favored to make it to states once again, and their Friday win at John Sharp was a step in the right direction. Led by Rock Fortna's 3rd place finish, West placed five in the top 13 with a 55 second spread to score 44 points and win by 56.
