Chester County Indoor Championships - Performance List

Tuesday night, the teams from Chesco hit Haverford College's Lutnick Center for the Chester County Indoor Championships. There should be a handful of things to watch out for. The meet starts at 6pm.

The strength of this meet comes from the field. In the high jump, Perkiomen Valley's Darnell Randall (PA#1 HJ) will face off with Dondre Pittman of Coatesville and Derrick Stephenson on Sun Valley. Pittman's gone 6-3 and Stephenson cleared 6-2 earlier in the season, so both should present a nice challenge to Randall and his top mark of 6-5.

In the long jump, we'll get a look at PA#2 James Holt from Downingtown West with Kennett's John-Paul Dean and Downingtown East's TJ Sowinski giving chase. Darian Alston of Downingtown West will return to the runway in the triple jump. He'll look to improve on his PA#1 and US#8 46-10 triple jump

Jeremy Jennings of Downingtown East (PA#3 60m) will lead a solid contingent into the 55 meters with teammate Mike Gwoah, Kennett's Chris Castaneda and Downingtown West's Joshua McLemore (PA#2 200m). McLemore is also entered in the 200 meters, so we'll see if he'll run both. The 400 meters will be a good battle between Downingtown West's Nate Alleyne and Coatesville's Terrence Laird.

We'll see what the relays will bring us. Haverford's track is quite compact, so it may be a stretch to imagine some real fast times in the sprint relays, but Downingtown West may try to put together a solid 4x800 with a seed time of 8:15.

Perkiomen Valley's Christina Warren will run in the 200 meters. The freshman has run well already this season in the hurdles, but now we'll get a look at her in the sprints.

The girls' 800 will pit Great Valley's Crosby Spiess with Emily Bracken of Bishop Shanahan. Great Valley's Anna Willig and Bracken (if she opts to run it) will go up against each other in what should be a competitive girls' mile.

PA#8 Jane Peabody of Unionville will lead the high jump competitors, while Perk Valley's Rebekah Bondi will look to go over 17 in the long jump.

Downingtown East's Evelyn Berecz (PA#1 TJ) headlines the triple jump with Warren also debuting in that event.
