SPIRE Scholastic Open (SPIRE Institute - GaREAT Sports Complex, Geneva, Oh.)

Jordan Geist will be back at it. Less than a week after setting the new state record in the shot put, the US#1 Geist returns to the circle. What more does the Knoch junior have in store for us? His teammates Brennan McTighe will also be there with Ohio's Ben Peterson in the field as well.

Geist, McTighe and US#2 Jake Wickley of Ohio will also compete in the weight throw.

PA#1 Jace Roundtree will look for more, returning to action in the 60 meter hurdles where he'll look to improve upon his 8.28.

Another PA#1, Caleb Sanford of McDowell, is looking for more in the pole vault. He comes in as the meet's clear top seed, but surely improving on his 15-0 at Youngstown State last week will be on his mind.

In the 1600m, Bradford's Logan Caruso and Winchester Thurston's Tristan Forsythe will go after what should be a good race. Caruso and Forsythe will also somete in the 3200 meters.

For the girls, the 1600 should be a fast one.Oakland Catholic's Lauren Finikiotis leads the field, which also includes Villa Maria's Melissa Ricci and Lucia Person of St. Joseph's Catholic.
