Altoona will be the place to be for many central PA teams this weekend. It should be an exciting day of compeititon at the 41st Igloo Invitational.

Highlighting the day will be the second best prep high jumper in the country (and the best non-professional high schooler). That would be Tyrone's Erika Voyzey, who cleared an incredible 5-11 at a dual meet earlier this week. Voyzey has seen big PRs in her last two meets and she seems to being kicking into form for her last high school season.

Homer Center's Mandy McElheny will be the top seed in the 800, with her having run 2:19 last year. In the 3200, Kiski's Megan Aller will be the favorite. Coudersport's Adrian Page will be one to watch in the in the throws, among others.

On the boys' side, Kiski's Jace Roundtree will be shooting for that PA#1 time in the event. He should be a force in that event this season as he opens up Saturday.

In the 1600 and 3200, we should get a strong battle between Bedford's William Kachman and Hollidaysburg Area's David Snyder. Both could be in line for good seasons.

In the jumps, Altoona's Daiquain Watson will be one to watch in both the long and triple jumps. Richland's Ethan Dabbs starts off what should be a good season for him in the javelin. He'll be favored in that event.
