A few months ago, the AAA high jump had a much different look. That's because it didn't feature Notre Dame-Green Pond's Greg Lauray. Lauray burst onto the scene with a huge 6-10 in a dual meet in his first-ever meet. Then Lauray cleared 7-1 at the Colonial League Championships, making him the PA#1 and the favorite headed into this weekend. On a good day, it'll be hard to stop Lauray, but the defending state champion may have something to say about that.

Williamsport's Qayyim Ali won the state title last season and won the indoor state championship in the high jump. He enters as the PA#2, having cleared 6-9 this season at Lock Haven. Ali will look to improve on that at states. His teammate Terrance Massey picked up the win over Ali at District 4 and should factor in this weekend.

AJ Byham of Meadville, Kellin Valentine of State College, Troy Miller of Solanco, Chris Petraskie, and Tyrique Lyons of Glen Mills should all be in the hunt for the medals, among others.
