Girls' Preview
The girls' race should be a very close one up front. Fairview's Lilly Myers, Saint Marys Area's Michelle Bauer, and Franklin Area's Savanna Carr appear to be the favorites and it's tough to separate them. But, as they say, that's why they run the races.
Myers was strong, taking fifth in a sub-19 time at the Legends Meet this past weekend in Ohio, while Bauer won at the Ridgway Invitational. Carr was also a winner this past weekend a Slippery Rock. All three should have a fair amount of momentum coming into Rocky Grove and it should be a dual to the finish.
Saint Marys Area's Amanda Foster, Youngsville's Brooklyn Messinger, and General McLane's Devyn Bayle should all be in the conversation for high finishes as well.
The team race is up for grabs with Fairview, Saint Marys Area, Cranberry, General McLane and Oil City all with hopes of the win on Saturday.
