Villanova's Pat Tiernan took home the NCAA DI Cross Country title, dethroning three-time champion Edward Cheserek of Oregon. Tiernan clocked a time of 29:22 for 10K, outlasting Cheserek and Syracuse's Justyn Knight over the final few kilometers to win his first NCAA title in his final collegiate race. Tiernan, a native of Australia, was second in the race a year ago.
