The last time we saw Taryn Parks, she was over in sunny San Diego, competing as the only freshman in the Foot Locker Nationals field.
The Greencastle-Antrim ninth grader didn't waste much time since that race before returning to competition. She was at Thursday's Mountain Express Holiday Indoor Invitational in Hagerstown, Maryland to open up her high school career on the track.
Parks took control of the fastest section of the 1600 meters and ran away from the field, winning in 5:29.09, the fastest time in PA so far this season over that specific distance.
