A second place finish of 21:27 by Shippensburg freshman Neely Spence at the 2008 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships provided the scoring impetus for a spectacular 6th place finish by the Red Raiders.

2004 Commodore Perry grad Christoher Clark, a grad student at California University of PA, was 4th in 31:12.
Slippery Rock's Jeff Weiss, a senior who graduated in 2005 from McGuffey HS, also earned all-American with his 8th place finish in 31:32.
Ben Hahn, Smethport '06, was 19th, leading Edinboro to their 16th place team finish.
