East Stroudsburg Red & Black Invitational - Meet Recap
GIRLS' RECAP
Katie Dammer of Abington Heights proved she is still one of the top contender in the state in the girls 1600m. She ran 5:00.20 beating New Jersey's Lauren Wagner of Voorhees (NJ).
The girls 3200m run was also fast this weekend at ESU. Two senior runners from Pope John XXIII HS (NJ) took first and second. Abigail Post won in 10:48.15 and her teammate Anna Campbell ran 11:04.58. Two PA runners from Stroudsburg, Michelle Joyce and Amy Conboy also ran fast times taking 3rd and 4th running personal bests of 11:05.97 and 11:06.66 respectively. The Stroudsburg runners' 3200m performances rank well at the state level.
In the throws, Taryn Ashby of Pitstown Area won the Javelin in 130 ft. 11 inches.

BOYS' RECAP
In the sprints, Julian Liaci of Nazareth Area took the win in the 100m dash running 11.16. Liaci came back in the 200m dash to run a fast time of 22.33. This timenow ranks 13th in the state.
The 3200m run was fast this weekend at ESU. The race was dominated by two New Jersey runners from Voorhees HS. Chris Romero came in first place in 9:24.78, followed closely by Evan Minor in 9:36.95. Kyle Burke of Abington Heights ran a 9:41.03 for third and Stroudsburg's Teddy Mostellar was close behind him with a time of 9:41.48 in fourth. Burke came back to win the 1600m run, going 1-2 with his Abington Heights teammate. Burke won in a 4:25.60, followed closely by Uhranowsky running 4:26.66.
It was a big weekend around the state for the boys javelin. At ESU, Marc Minichello of Wyoming Area proved he is still one of the top throwers in the state with a throw of 185 ft 3 in.
Isaiah Wiggins of Pocono Mountain West had a good day in the jumps. He jumped 44 ft. 9 in. to win the triple jump and also won the high jump with a jump of 6 ft. 4 in.
